From August 29th to 30th, 2023 local time, the Shandong Provincial delegation to South Pacific Island countries led by Wang Shujian, Vice Chairman of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, carried out a number of business and cultural activities in Suva, the capital of Fiji. Lin Haibin, deputy director of the Shandong Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, Wang Gang, deputy mayor of Liaocheng City, and Guan Yanping, secretary of the Party Committee of Liaocheng University, accompanied him. Li Peng, deputy general manager of Yanjian international company and business manager of Yanjian Group (Fiji) Company, participated in various activities with the delegation. Yanjian Group's endeavors in promoting economic exchanges and cooperation between Shandong Province and Fiji have been unanimously acknowledged by the said delegation leaders and is recognized as a model for Shandong Province's "going global" overseas investment and economic cooperation. 

On the afternoon of August 29th, Guan Yanping, Secretary of the Party Committee of Liaocheng University, led a Liaocheng University delegation to Yanjian (Fiji) Company for informal discussions. Deputy General Manager Li Peng introduced to the delegation the development of Yanjian Group, the Fiji company’s development history and project experiences, Fiji’s market conditions and cultural customs, etc. Secretary Guan fully affirmed and praised the development course and achievements of Yanjian Group and its Fiji Company, and expressed his suggestions and vision in the hope of further exploring and strengthening win-win cooperation between Liaocheng University and Yanjian Group.

At 9 o'clock of August 30th, Deputy General Manager Li Peng was invited to participate in the "2nd High-Level Forum on Sustainable Development of Small Island States" co-sponsored by the University of the South Pacific in Fiji, South Pacific Island Countries Institute of Asian Studies (SPICIAS), and the Research Center for South Pacific Island Countries of Liaocheng University in China. During the event, Fiji’s Minister of Education Hon. Aseri Radrodro expressed his gratitude to Yanjian Group for undertaking the Nasinu Primary School project and took a group photo with Yanjian’s representatives.

At 14:00 in the afternoon, Yanjian (Fiji) Company, as an excellent local Chinese enterprise model in Fiji, was invited to participate in the "Fiji Shandong Province Promotion Conference". Chinese Ambassador to Fiji Zhou Jian, Vice Chairman of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Shujian, Chief Accountant of the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce Sun Ganmin, and Fiji's Minister of Agriculture held dialogues and discussions on Shandong Province's investment, construction, business, and cooperation with Fiji, and introduced to all walks of life of Fiji the economy, humanities, history, tourism, etc. of Shandong Province. During the conference, leaders of the delegation expressed their praise to Yanjian Group as an outstanding Shandong enterprise that deeply explores overseas markets and actively participates in the "Belt and Road" construction. 

The visit of the Shandong provincial delegation to Fiji not only promoted cultural exchanges and business cooperation between Shandong Province and Fiji, but also demonstrated the good image of Chinese enterprises overseas.
