On the morning of September 5-7, 2023, a delegation from Shandong Province visiting South Pacific Island countries led by Wang Shujian, Vice Chairman of Shandong Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Lin Haibin, Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, visited Tonga. Mr. Li Peng, Deputy General Manager of International Company and Head of Business of Fiji Company, accompanied the delegation.

During the visit, Mr. Wang Shujian, Vice Chairman of the delegation, expressed his deep friendship with Yanjian Group during his tenure in Yantai and highly affirmed Yanjian Group's active implementation of the "going out" strategy. Mr. Li Peng, Vice General Manager, accompanied the delegation to visit the Agricultural Technical Cooperation Project Department of China Aid Tonga, and inspected and researched the local building materials market and sand and stone factory.

On September 7, Deputy General Manager Li Peng visited Tonga Deputy Prime Minister Vaipulu. Deputy Prime Minister Vaipulu positively recognized Yanjian Group's contribution to Tonga's roads, hospitals, airports and other infrastructure construction, and recalled the wonderful experience of visiting Yantai and Yanjian Group. He said that the Tongan government constructed these projects with the aim of improving local infrastructure and bringing more benefits to the people.
